Northlands Business Park (Pty) Ltd was started in 1999. Darin D’Oliveira and, at that time partnered with Orpen Group, recognised the need for security enclosed Industrial Parks in the Northriding area and teamed up to start the development of Northlands Business Park and the subsequent Northlands precinct.
After the success of Northlands Business Park the theme was extended to Northlands Deco Park, Industrial Park, Production Park and Commercial Park. Units have specifically been designed to client requirements. Northlands houses a number of large organisations such as Verimark, Krones, Fenster Aluminium, Chamdor, Tiletoria, Nemtek, Trappers Trading, who form part of our very satisfied client base.
In 2012 Darin and his team, developed Northlands Corner Shopping Centre – Retail and Offices. Simultaneously undertaking the completion of Northlands Deco Park Phase 2 and Phase 3, developing an additional 44 000 m² into up market units. These units comprise a combination of offices, showrooms and warehouse under one roof reducing overhead costs.
In keeping with Client satisfaction and considering the growth of tenants in the area, Northlands financed the contract to upgrade, the intersection of Witkoppen and New Market Road, ensuring a free flow of traffic during peak hour.
Having started his career in housing having built numerous town houses in the 90’s, Darin then teamed up with his brother Trevor D’Oliveira to develop the Le-Jardine at Avianto Lifestyle Estate. Proclamation for Le-Jardine, the first of many secure Housing Estates, has finally been granted. This will see a snowball effect as buyers eagerly start buying property and developing it into their own homes. In 2013, Darin started construction of the Maragon Private School, adjacent to Le-Jardine Estate. The Maragon Private School at Avianto provides a secure and high standard of learning from pre-primary up to grade four. With the recent completion of sport fields and planning for the next phase of the school to start soon, this area will start to develop into an upmarket, secure residential area.
Darin, with the help of his dynamic construction team furthered his vision by developing the Riverstone Lodge based just of the N14 in Muldersdrift, which provides a breakaway from the busy city life. Riverstone hosts its own hotel / restaurant, the cosy driftwood café, Wedding Chapel and Reception venue. In 2008, Darin ventured to Mozambique, Inhambane Province, acquiring 100 hectares of land to develop two remarkable getaway resorts.

Northlands are mindful of the electricity shortage in this country and are helping to reduce the carbon footprint, we have installed a 200KW Solar Panel System on the roof of the Northlands Corner Shopping Centre, to reduce the power demand on the grid.
Further to this, Northlands is in the process of installing Solar Systems to existing and new developments within the Northlands Deco Park. In adhering to all regulations, an environmental consultant is employed for each development to ensure that we comply with environmental requirements.

Safety and Security Structures
Safety is a priority on construction sites, we have secured the services of a private Health and Safety contractor, to ensure that our construction team and contractors adhere to all required health and safety regulations.
A partnership with Systems Control Security has been built over the years. They provide 24 hour surveillance to all Northlands Parks from their control room, which is situated in the Northlands Business Park. Armed Response Units and security guards patrol in and around all the Northlands Parks. The Northlands Corner Shopping Centre has recently upgraded its security cameras to provide the latest technology available and peace of mind for tenants and businesses alike. All Northlands Parks are monitored by CCTV cameras, resulting in a secure environment.
